BIG NEWS! I JUST DIRECTED A NEW VID FOR SPIN MAGAZINE – DUBSTEP BASS CULTURE SAO PAULO

Hey friends & bass headz, it’s been some time since I’ve sent you any news from Brazil. I’ve been busy in the studio and things are going super dope! After hooking up being a correspondent for SPIN in South America, I directed my first video for them. It’s an inside view into Sao Paulo night life. I hand selected the soundtrack which includes an unreleased tune of mine called “Goes Bang” plus tunes from Joker & Rustie, The Widdler, Benga and Foamo. Big thanks to Danilo B & Limao Azul my film crew. They’re the bomb!!! I hope you dig it and feel free to leave a comment. More to come soon so stay tuned…

REVOLUTION – TEHRAN BLOG GIVE CLOSE INSIGHT TO DAILY LIFE
July 2, 2009, 5:12 am

dacDestroy All Concepts, Dub Gabriel’s record label, literally lives up to it’s name by delving in all genres: from Punk to Dub, to Electro to Dancehall, Ragga and all things left field. A close friend of ours, who cannot be named and after living in New York for many years, moved back to Iran a couple years ago and is now blogging from Tehran via the DAC site. In this semi-daily blog he reports a scenario where people are risking their daily lives in a situation that erupted due to a supposed stolen Presidential election. It gives an inside perspective to the governments suppressive use and abuse of power. It is truly insightful and written with deep knowledge of the politics behind Iran’s 2nd revolution. You will not hear about most of what’s written here in the mainstream media. As the mainstream media controls what you see and hear, it often tells either half the story or not the true story at all. You can check the blog and the releases of DAC at: www.destroyallconcepts.com

Hey friends and beat freaks…
It’s been a minute since you’ve received any blogs from me to you. I’ve been busy as can imagine and finally found some spare after the last tour to post new event hype, links and videos of stuff I’m into & past flyers from the last tour. Via this blog and Myspace I will be hyping new forthcoming original tracks, remixes, new playlists and a new Podcast set… Hopefully you’ll enjoy and get something from my blood, sweat and tears. Since I haven’t seen most of you in some time, I would LOVE hearing from you and reading your comments.

Chad Jones aka Process Rebel, aka Totemplow, aka my right hand man in Hypnomadic, is no stranger to the scene and electronic music production. He got his start by blowing up in the Seattle Grunge scene playing guitar with some of the finest, consequently his mid 90’s collaborations were with DJ Spooky & Mick Harris (Scorn). His recent collaborations with Dub Gabriel, Sub Swara, Goonda, MC Zulu, Yoko Solo & Kush Arora are living testaments to his understanding of bass-driven boundary crushing dopeness. Keep an eye on his newest release, Other Weapons “Basis To Break This,” to which I am a contributor and features MC Zulu, Juakali, Dr. Israel and many others, that is dropping as we speak. It’s an intelligent and catchy collision of Electronica, Ragga & Rock-izms. You can buy it here!
